687555-graduatereutersxcopy-1395904358-412-640x480With only a few months left in my graduation, I quite often find myself thinking about the future with questions like what would I do next? how would I work inorder to earn a good salary etc  . Fortunately while surfing on the internet, the other day, I found something that inspired me and cleared my mind on how should I pursue after graduation. Here are a few tips that I would like to share with the new graduates a.k.a freshies.

TIP NO.1:  First and most important, take a deep breath and relax as you have just finished the longest study course .  Now when looking for jobs do not simply select your job on the basis of salary; as by the time you get a maximum salary, supply and demand of that time would probably be changed.

TIP NO.2: Whatever your decision is, do not forget your passion for your profession. In order to obtain a good reward ,you have to work long hours with full dedication, attention and a right approach. As Nelson Mandela said “There’s no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” So, select something that you absolutely love and enjoy doing.

TIP NO.3:  Amidst all the hassle of learning diseases, their treatment and cure , we somehow forget to follow health practice or in other words our duty to humanity and our basic goal becomes to somehow treat a disease and nothing else. Remember your duty to humanity.

TIP NO.4: Listen to your patients / customers as if you are interested in understanding them rather than  being understood.  Pause till he finishes his complain, keep a big smile on your face no matter how tired you are and last but certainly not the least, do not show impatience.

TIP NO.5:  Most of the new graduates anticipate a similar life style or financial conditions as their parents without looking at the years of hard work that were spent in acquiring this position. It takes time and hard work to shine like a star so never believe that you are entitled  to comfortable life immediately after graduating.

TIP NO.6: Do not compare your life with others .Thoughts like “wow, he has such a strong background,  his life is perfect” should be discouraged. Keep in mind ,everything that shines is not gold, be realistic and believe in yourself. Don’t compare yourself to others; compare yourself to the person you were yesterday.

TIP NO.7:  Last but not the least, remember; everyday won’t be a fun day. There will be times when your passion and believes would dangle but keep your mind focused and hopeful as the next day would surely pass in your favour .
